High Holy Day Calendar

Who Are The Israelites?

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people...” – 1 Peter 2:9 (KJVA)

Who Are the Chosen?

When we talk about being an Israelite, we're not referring to modern citizenship in the land of Israel. According to the King James Version with Apocrypha (KJVA), the Israelites are the descendants of the twelve sons of Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel by God (Genesis 32:28).

“Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men...” – Genesis 32:28 (KJVA)

A Bloodline and a Covenant

Being an Israelite is both:

  1. A bloodline – You are physically descended from the 12 tribes.

  2. A spiritual responsibility – You are in covenant with the Most High through the laws, statutes, and commandments.

“He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation...” – Psalm 147:19-20 (KJVA)

Israelites Today: Hidden But Awakening

Due to slavery, colonization, and disobedience, the true Israelites were scattered and lost their identity.

“And ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the Lord shall lead you. And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands...” – Deuteronomy 4:27-28

But prophecy foretold that we would wake up in the last days:

“In the land of their captivity they shall remember themselves...” – Baruch 2:30

Today, many so-called Blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans are learning they are the descendants of the lost tribes of Israel.

An Israelite Follows God’s Laws

You are not just an Israelite by blood — you must also walk as one.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” – Ecclesiastes 12:13

YAH is calling His people back to:
  • Keep the Sabbath (Exodus 20:8)

  • Follow the dietary laws (Leviticus 11)

  • Observe Holy Days (Leviticus 23)

  • Wear fringes (Numbers 15:38)

  • Practice righteous judgment and love (Matthew 22:37-40)

Why This Matters Today

We live in a world full of false doctrines, confusion, and disobedience. But as Israelites, we must return to the ancient path — not religion, but covenant.

“Ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein...” – Jeremiah 6:16 (KJVA)
